Our mid-week gathering is one of the highlights of our church family’s life here at AVPC. It’s a time of great fellowship, over some delicious meals prepared by our Fellowship Team. Come enjoy dinner with your family, catch up with friends, and meet some new faces. You are welcome to join us for dinner even if you are not in a small group that meets on Wednesday night. We start serving dinner at 5:15 PM, and you can also request a “to-go” meal if needed. NO RESERVATION NEEDED!

Donations accepted (recommended amount: $5/adult, $3/child, Family Maximum–$20).

Small Groups

WHO can join a small group?

Any adult: members or non-members; singles or couples. Some current groups have room for you. Others will start depending on the demand.

WHAT is the purpose for small groups?

To create small communities that develop relationships safe enough for us to care for one another through Jesus’ grace and truth. If you have not previously joined a small group, this is a good time for you to move into the mainstream of the life of our congregation. New groups will be formed as we start up the fall semester. Most groups focus on nurturing one another as believers. The content will vary by group. Some of the options include:Sermon reflection and application, Bible Studies, Topical Studies, Discussion of Christian books.

WHEN do the small groups meet?

Wednesday nights is the primary time for small groups. A few groups gather on alternative nights. Small groups usually meet the first three Wednesdays of the month. Small groups meet immediately after dinner, from 6:15–8:00 PM. The Fall 2019 semester begins Wednesday, September 4.

WHERE will the Wednesday small groups meet?

Many groups meet in homes near the church. Some, especially those that have families with small children, may elect to meet at the church.
