Notification Plan of Cancellation of Events in the event of Severe Weather
In the event of severe weather we have developed the following notification system to communicate the cancellation of church events (Sunday services, Wednesday night programs, etc.).
Should an event be cancelled:
- First, we will post any cancellation of an event to the homepage of the website. Information concerning Sunday services will be posted by 7:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. Please check here first. This is the easiest way for you to quickly find out if an event has been cancelled.
- Second, we will also update the voice message greeting on the church phone system (967-0680) that the decision has been made to cancel an event. This is primarily for those who do not have computer access to check the website.
- Lastly, we will send an email notifying you of the decision to cancel any event due to severe weather.
These announcements will also be made if there is some doubt as to whether we should have an event and the decision is to proceed with it.
